So what do you think about the drop waist trend? I am skipping off to M&S now to pick up these beauties and also to try and find the dress but I fear our very small local store won't have it - far too trendy for where I live!

I loved VB in that dress, also love Joanna and Frances take on the trend. Can't wait to see you in yours x
ReplyDeleteI am so excited! All arriving on Monday via ASOS and if my local M&S has the one Joanna is wearing I shall show and tell from the changing room!
DeleteGreat post - tho I'm not a fan of drop waists for me. They're gorgeous but awful on pear-shapes sadly..I need some nipping in at the waist. Cannot wait to see yours - and the shoes...I want to hear ALL about the shoes!
ReplyDeleteJust having a sneaky pub lunch and will then go and pick up!
DeleteLove that plain red dress Fiona. I've tried the M&S one on but wasn't a fan of the colour...if only they did it in a stronger colour I would have snapped it up!

Oh interesting that the colour didn't suit you - I'd say we're the same colour so I'll be interested to see what it's like on - will report back after lunch
DeleteIt's a bloody hard colour to wear on mere mortals. Great on cooler skin tones but not so forgiving on warm ones. I spotted it a couple of weeks ago and fell in love but knew I would look like death warmed up so didn't try it on. Now if it had been in a gold tone.....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your dress next week, hope you like it x
I love them, but I am sure I suit them, need to have a try on - I have Frances red check one saved in my Asos wish list, after seeing it on her and loving it! X
ReplyDeleteI bet I look like a sack of crap in it vs what she looked like!
DeleteI agree with Donna - the color is the biggest problem - it does wash me out a bit - hoping once I am dolled up with red lippy and a tan it will look better. As an apple shape I LOVE drop waists - they really conceal my problem areas and the Limited Collection at M&S have some other great VB inspired dresses. I have the Asos checked one too so we can all rock it together - it's a lovely flannel fabric, but I'm afraid no one will look as hot as Frances in it...xx
ReplyDeleteoooh you have the checked one? YAY TRIPLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deletei love the really baggy ones just for hanging out, you can do quite a grown up version with just a skirt. I love all the girlie looks on everyone else, but I am a giant with big shoulders and just look like Grayson Perry!

DeleteI love the idea of this dress and I will love seeing everyone in theirs. I just don't do dresses. :(

Really? Why's that?
DeleteLove the texture on Joanna dress & it looks really great. Drop waist is a great style. Love the asymmetrical hemline on the boohoo yellow drop waist as well !

Love this style of dress and it has the added bonus of fitting a bump in, may look about one, it probably one of the only dresses I'll be able to wear for the next few weeks and after. Of course I'm loving the yellow one- big surprise!!
ReplyDeleteI like dropped waist styles but after my disaster with the Peter Pilotto one, I'll probably steer clear! Thosecshoes are stunning. Looking forward to seeing more of them. Love Liz xxx
ReplyDeleteNot sure if dropped waists suit me but after my peplum disaster last year?! I'm willing to try but I'm not hopefull! I love the tartan one you all have & can't wait to see how you style yours! Ax
