I have:
2 x 3 drawer chest of drawers
1 draw in a chest of drawers
4 x under the bed pull out storage bays
2 double wardrobes (one is doubled up and one is single hanging)
2 x half hanging space in other rooms
1 x cupboard for shoes
1 x bottom of wardrobe for boots

Pic of shoes and some chest of drawers (I know the shoes are a mess but that's just how I store them)
Pic of wardrobes. If you look at the first image you will see horrible shirts of husband, so technically I only occupy a QUARTER of this wardrobe!
I don't think that's THAT much do you?

DeleteI'm very jealous of all the space you have! I'm resorting to an Ikea trip next week to find storage boxes that will fit under the bed. Preferably camouflaged so the husband doesn't notice ;)

DeleteWow Fiona, that's impressive! I have half of a double wardrobe, three drawers in a tallboy and as for the shoes - if they're not falling off the shoe rack in the hallway that doesn't seemed designed for size 5 heels, they're in a box on the shelf in the downstairs loo! It's a tight squeeze but it certainly reins in my shopping :)

ReplyDeleteWhen we re-built our house I deliberately opted for a small (for the US) wardrobe. It's half the size of my hubbies - he's a total metrosexual and has loads of clothes. But really I'm just fooling myself because i start donating as soon as it get full....making way for more. So you are just being honest! (call me for Fashion Justification Hotline!)

DeleteSo I read this post a couple of days ago and wanted to think about my response...because my stuff's a bit scattered too and I think it can make you think you have less than you really have. It's fess up time - I reckon that I have quite a lot too because it's been accumulating slowly over the past 6-9 months. I think apart from the underbed storage and the chest of drawers, I'm about the same. But It's been bothering me lots as I feel there's too much so once I'm well enough, I'm doing a massive blog sale. Already making a pile in the spare room! x

DeleteMy clothes are cheap crap and not fit for resale, although that said. I do have a couple of items I should sell. ANYTHING I sell would be for me to spend on something new! There is no helping me really is there!!!!!!!
DeleteFab post Fiona! I think I'm probably not far off the same which is has surprised me! I have a tote of high Summer stuff (like shorts, bikinis, kaftans), a rail in walk in wardrobe, a larger rail in double built in wardrobe, a chest of 3 drawers plus a 6 shelf high unit in walk in wardrobe. Shoes are all on racks pretty much. Oh and a single drawer somewhere else as well. It's pretty spread out. You are doing so well rotating all your clothes though at the moment, I don't think it's that much. x
