Slipper Shoes

What? Yes, that's what they're called - Slipper Shoes! I am in love and the perfect shoe to take us through to Autumn (although it's September now and officially Autumn).

This is what I'm on about

To me, these are a real modern, stylish twist on a classic ballet pump. I own A LOT of ballet pumps but I don't think I have worn them this year much at all because they feel a bit frumpy now.

Here's a round up of my absolute favourite ones and if I had the budget I'd be buying them all!

River Island - £45 (pink)

River Island - £35 (glitter)

River Island - £45 (leopard print)

Mango - £39.99 (black croc)

Office - £45 (zebra)

Kurt Geiger - £55 (black)

Next - £40 (cream moc croc)

Office - £45 (red suede)

Here I am from the past few days. I am so out of love with my hair it's not funny. I have another appointment booked for this Friday to cut it into some kind of shape - ie a graduated bob

Have you ever had the haircut from hell? Do you have slipper shoes? Show me your style on Instagram or Avenue 57.

  1. Hi Fiona , I know what you mean about ballet pumps, every time a put a pair on now I take them off again after a few mins. I like the choice of slipper shoes, good luck with the hair.

    1. If I was brave I'd go for the pink but sadly I'm not! I'm opting for the red ones - swoon

  3. I love them on others, but not on me. I just feel too small! I like a bit of a heel. Major sympathy re your hair. I think it looks good, but if you don't like it, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks . Fingers crossed for a happier result on Friday

    1. Thank you Helen. I know you've been there so feel my pain! Here's hoping Friday brings a better result! Failing that, 6 months of waiting!!!!!

  4. I had some black Primark slipper shoes a couple of years ago and wore them constantly. I loved the slightly pointed front compared to a rounded ballet flat. Obviously they are long gone because, uh Primark, but I'd definitely buy that style again in future.

  5. I love the Office zebra print ones. They're gorgeous! I've never been a huge fan of ballet pumps. I have a few pairs but I never feel quite right in them so maybe I should try a pair of these. Lynne x

  6. I bought my first pair of slipper shoes in the M&S sale a few months back, nude patent leather. I loved them, hubby thought they were odd....! Not worn them yet as been too warm but I think they look good. I love those zebra ones. Yes, had a bad haircut once then grew it out straight away and vowed never to go that short again. Your hair looks good from those pics but know what you mean if you're not happy with it x

  7. I totally agree with you about ballet flats feeling a little old hat now! I wore a pair the other day for the first time in ages! I quite like pointed flats & think I'm going to go in that direction but I also really like the slipper style too. I had a black pair that I used to wear for work but a coloured pair would be great!
