The key to making this work is a tighter top half to compensate for the baggy bottom. I wonder if black trousers would look better?
Trainers, I told you I wouldn't be able to take them off once I bought them are so comfy (and stylish, even if I do say so myself).

Believe it or not this works but I would change one thing - the necklace. A simple small chain to pare it back a little more. But that's just me.

DeleteSusie So So is very clever isn't she? Because I liked the look but couldn't figure out what was slightly wrong and it's the necklace. It's very a very sporty/preppy/yummy Mummy all rolled into one kind of outfit - the sort of thing you see the trendy Mums wear when they've dashed to the school run after a game of tennis and coffee in the club! I like it :)

DeleteI would like to see you style the trainers with a darker trousers too! I tried that with my Stan Smiths when I dug my vintages ones out of the attic last year! I think they would look fantastic with a black wide trouser of you! It's a bit all white on the bottom half for me :0) xx

DeleteSue is spot on but I'm also in Michelles camp & think darker trousers would look amazing but I'm not a white linen trouser girl! I lived in them when I first had my son & over dosed on them I think! Ax

I'm just struggling with the whole wider trouser thing generally...I think if you have the legs, flaunt them. I agree with most of the comments above...it looks a bit cricket/bowling club with the all white. I'd try a different colour trouser also. Ax
