Scarf storage solutions

I own a lot of scarves. I have always owned a lot of scarves. I own more scarves now though since opening up a scarf shop! Where to store them has always been an issue.

How do you store your scarves?

I have one similar to this and it wasn't this cheap but this looks like a total bargain:

Here's mine in action

My oversized scarves don't fit in that well so they're just folded nicely

And these are the ones that I no longer wear regularly but don't want to throw away. I have them folded at the back of my wardrobe now.

I am NEVER without a scarf in the winter - EVER!

Do you wear scarves? How many do you have and how do you store them?

  1. At last count I had over 30 scarves that I'd accumulated over the years. However I reckon I've gained at least five more since then. I must stop going into Zara, it's a killer! That hanger is a genius idea, but I would never be able to cram it into my wardrobe. I have a couple of baskets that I keep mine in - I roll them and put them in end-upwards and keep them on a shelf above where we hang the coats. Tidying the scarf baskets is one of my least favourite jobs, so I have to be v disciplined about putting them back when I've worn them!

    1. Hi Becky - that is a lot of scarves! I don't feel as bad now :-)
Having looked at this photo it does take up a bit of space but I have no other spaces to put them if they don't have here.
I made this all neat and tidy before taking the photo. You don't want to see the before!

    1. Is it just the best handy hangy thing?! Mine would be screwed up in a ball otherwise!

  3. Oh that's how they work. I thought you draped your scarves through the holes. Very clever. I've been wearing chunkier wool scarves this winter and can't wait until it warms up a little to get my thinner ones out x

  4. I store mine rolled up in one of those under-the-bed boxes. I've also done a massive clear out of scarves but I reckon I still have at least 20 left. I think I may need to do another cull!

  7. I have way too many scarves but I can't resist them! I tried one of these but it broke. I have two metal scarf hangers from Amazon which are fabulous. Lynne xx

  8. Mine are all folded flat as i don't have the hanging space for one of those holders at the moment... Great price though!

  9. Hi, I have just found your blog and am enjoying some of your recent posts. I have a couple of wooden hangers, similar to most wooden jacket hangers, but with holes in. (Hard to describe in writing) They hold the floatier of my scarves and then it is hung in my wardrobe. It doesn't hold as many as this one though. The thicker scarves I keep folded in a drawer and a basket. (Bit of a scarfaholic I'm afraid!)
