Day 1 - My Children Chose My #OOTD

Last week on the Avenue 57 group on Facebook, someone posted a link to a blogger who had allowed her toddler to dress her for a week - with very funny results (love the mis-match shoes outfit).

I'm always up for a laugh and a bit of attention seeking so I thought I would give this a go. At first I said a week but I've changed it to the 5 working days of the week. Next weekend I am meeting some good blogging friends in London for our annual meet up and there is NO WAY I am allowing my children to dress me for that!

It started off with some serious discussion about what to start with. I have 2 wardrobes and a shoe cupboard ...

It then moved on to my eldest (10) trying on the outfits - urm what? Hilarious! Cannot wait for his first girlfriend to come home or his 18th birthday party :-)!

And so here I am in the outfit my children chose for me. Apart from the random shoes with the skirt, I don't think they've done a bad job at all!

Could you let your child/children dress you for a week? I have to say it was a breath of fresh air this morning not having to think about it!

  4. Very brave, but I think they did really well! If I let my kids do the same I would be spending the whole week dressed as a fairy pirate!

    1. My husband has been great, repeating x 10 that 'it's not about making mummy look stupid!!! If it was then I would not be doing it!

  5. Probably would, Elodie has a real eye even at 3yo! She often tells me what she wants to wear each day - although last week her "go-to" if you like was tights and jelly shoes!

The boys did a good job. Look forward to tomorrow's instalment.

    1. I should be really pleased for boys! Funny that they haven't thought about jeans - today a skirt, tomorrow a dress!

    1. I cannot tell you what fun it is and what pressure it takes off me 'getting ready' in the morning - might do it every working week day!
