Over on Avenue 57 I have a style crush. Her name is Natalie and she ALWAYS looks amazing. It was no surprise that she was going to look gorgeous in a cream lace dress (shoes from Dunnes)
Natalie doesn't like the fit and thinks it's too big - I think she looks stunning in it. The dress if from Next.
Inspiration from Pinterest (you have to be a bit careful not to look too bridal in them though).
Here's my alternatives for her to order and try.
Topshop - £34
River Island - £35
New Look - £40
Miss Selfridge - £49
Mango - £59.99
ASOS - £38 (LOVE THIS)
ASOS - £55 (LOVE THIS EVEN MORE!)
ASOS (again!) - £60
Superdry (via HOF) - £54.99
Are you a fan of the cream lace dress or should it best be worn by those getting married? I'm in the former camp - total fan. Let me know if you have seen any along the way.

I have a gorgeous cream crochet one from ASOS last year that I love - never sure about lace on me - I did have lace sleeves on my wedding dress so maybe that's why! xx
ReplyDeleteI do think the right dress will look ace but so hard to not look bridal! I have a 'white' party to go to in July - I'm wearing cream and might order that ASOS one - I love it
DeleteI have hung my nose over the one that is in French Connection at the moment. I was thinking of wearing it to a wedding, in August, because I don't like the bride much. Is that a mean? (of course I wouldn't really) Get that ASOS one ordered Fiona. xx
ReplyDeleteha ha ha that is so funny!!!!!!!
DeleteI love Natalie's style, too - I think she could wear just about anything and make it look good! Some lovely dresses here Fiona, I agree that the ASOS one really has to be tried! xx
ReplyDelete*IF* I needed a cream dress I would but I have a cream one and a white one already waiting for the Summer!
DeleteAh Natalie Jayne Lake, does she ever put a foot wrong?!! I'm glad she doesn't live near me, I would feel like a style less frump next to her!! Anyway I thought the dress looked fab on her with the infamous Dunnes shoes, did I mention I LOVE my nude ones?!! I don't think I could pull a nude dress off but I do love some of those ASOS ones. I have my sons communion in May but I wouldn't like to look like I'm trying to look like the little 8 year old girls in their pretty white dresses. I would end up looking like Miss Havisham!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she doesn't live near me too! I am so sad 'the' Dunnes didn't suit me - they were such a bargain too.
DeleteI fear I look like an over grown child in cream flirty dress but I do like that!!!!
I would feel so clumsy and messy next to Natalie - she always seems so feminine even when she's dressed down. But I do love a pretty cream dress - I thought the one that Natalie showed looked lovely on her but only she knows if the fit wasn't quite all there despite how it looks in the photos. I did show her a Zara one too so she's not got oodles to choose from!
ReplyDeleteI agree!!!
DeleteI totally agree - she looks absolutely stunning in that dress!
ReplyDeleteI'd have kept it!
DeleteNatalie looks amazing and if I had the occasion to wear one I would be snapping the Next one up! xx
ReplyDeleteI think I need to place a large order and try some out for myself!
DeleteNatalie always looks amazing! Such pretty dresses. I love your favourite one too. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteI might try it next time there is a code flying around
DeleteI love Natalies style too & she looked amazing in that dress! I like your favourite too! Roll on Summer! x
ReplyDeleteI agree - she looks stunning! I'm not sure I could do a cream lace dress (though looking forward to seeing them on you) I think I'd feel it was too similar to wearing a First Communion dress again :)
