I have hated my hair for the past 5+ years. It's never been right since I overly bleached it blonde to please the husband (who still goes on to this day about how much he loved it lighter). I've had it cut, I've badly home dyed it and I've grown older. I've always thought it would be so nice if wigs and hair pieces were 'in' and now they are - hoo-bloody-rah!
There is a really good video on the website of how to make the halo hair piece work and it really couldn't be easier - seriously SO easy.
First you put it on like a halo and then you pick your hair out and lay over the invisible plastic halo wire. It's not uncomfortable at all but .............. I need to work on how to secure it properly as it did feel as if I'd just put it on and it didn't feel tight or secure - a gust of wind would expose my the hair piece. But I was short of time this morning and haven't yet mastered the art - I will!
It comes beautifully wrapped with a comb, clip, shampoo and conditioner to care for it.
Here she is lying flat
I was worried about the colour match but I didn't need to. The ladies at Halo are amazing. You send them a picture of you/your hair and they totally know what colour to choose for you (and what length). I got sent a 12" hair piece in dark brown - the match was PERFECT.
So what do I look like?
Can you tell how happy I am? If you have any questions let me know! This was sent to me to review and I have been honest. I absolutely love it - I can't actually put into words how happy have long hair makes me.
UPDATE: these photographs were taken from the front - didn't check the back until a friend came round a few days later to help me get it ready for a party on Saturday night. We just couldn't make it work sadly. My own hair just sat on top of the hair piece and it was SO OBVIOUS I was wearing it. We curled my hair and the halo hair piece (which curled beautifully) but because my hair is one length and the halo hair piece is one length it just looked weird. I'll make it work for me one day ... just trying to work out what's next as long hair is the way forward for me!

Oh it's FABULOUS! honest, if I didn't know, I'd never know (from the pics..) that it's a hair piece, the colour match is absolutely amazing. I prefer it with the fringe up - not sure about it with it down but maybe that's just because I love it when you wear your hair like that. You do look thrilled with it and rightly so. x
ReplyDeleteTotally pig in shit right now! Cannot wait to secure it properly and wear on Saturday night for a party!
DeleteLaughing so much as your pig in poo comment!
DeleteYou look amazing, great colour match, and such a happy bunny. Would love to hear how you get on with your new 'hair'

DeleteI have to say it's a fantastic colour match and I wouldn't know it was a hairpiece - it's fab. You look super super happy so I know you really love it. And I like it with your fringe swept across!
ReplyDeleteAmazed they got the colour so right - totally and utterly thrilled with it
DeleteIt looks fab. You look so happy. Bless you. xx
ReplyDeleteYou should get one - honestly it totally changes the way you feel about your hair!
DeleteAll the above and, it really suits you. Tell us...did the guys notice in the office? x
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't worn it to work - I want to 'wow' at the party on Sat night and also learn how to wear it properly and securely!
DeleteThat is truly incredible.. looks exactly like your own hair. And just how happy do you look? Made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteMade me smile too! Now to secure it and party like an animal on Saturday night!
DeleteLove it Fiona ! It's perfect
ReplyDeleteThanks Rhona!
DeleteAmazing! That bottom middle picture is just stunning, and I'm choosing my words carefully here because you don't look remotely old in the first place, but longer hair takes years off you. You look even younger!! Did I get away with it?? ;-) xx
ReplyDeleteReally good digging there :-)!
DeleteI know what you mean and I totally agree with you.
Time to get this hair GROWN
You are beaming! It's amazing! x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how happiness just shines through?
DeleteLooks fantastic Fiona, I wore full piece wigs when i was growing my hair (i used to have a crop!) There is so much variety out there now, you can have whatever hair you want.
ReplyDeleteLaurie x
I would like a full wig piece I think but they are really expensive to get the good ones. Are they expensive?
DeleteI meant itchy!
DeleteLooks great. How did your hair look before? I'm growing out an inverted bob and really want to try one of these but I don't think it will work.
ReplyDeletemine is a bob i'm growing out. You can kind of see (if you look closely ) my hair. Around chin length at the moment.
DeleteI can't believe how real it looks! Really suits you as well you look great x
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous, Fiona! So realistic! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteThat is good, cannot believe how amazingly it matches your hair, you so suit it...do you think they do a sh*t mousey colour that will match mine?! Xx
ReplyDeleteLove you with this length hair! It looks so natural and real x
ReplyDeleteMy friend has one from this company, and she has been so thrilled with it. Just like you, she says it's so comfy and you would never know it's not her hair? Yours look amazing too, and such a big smile on your face says it all!! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteFiona - I LOVE it! It looks amazing on you and I love that you can just whip it off when you don't want to wear it...long hair is great and all that but it's a right pain day in-day out I can tell you from experience. Do you just wash it like regular hair then? Guessing it doesn't need a wash too often though. OK - off to check out the website! Ax
ReplyDeleteYes, you just wash it as per you would your own hair!
