A simple skirt

I love skirts but not just any kind of skirt! I can't wear pencil skirts, I've tried and failed and each one I have bought in the past has ended up in the charity shop bin.

Here is a collection of how I wear my 2 favourite skirts. Floral one is from Whistle & Wolf and the black one is Matalan.

Here I am today in my favourite New Look one. I was inspired by this look yesterday on Avenue 57.

    I am trying not to buy clothes, and you've just made it HARD because New Look have some great skirts in (including a pale blue jacquard pencil skirt that made my heart skip a beat!). Curse it!! Why am I so weak willed when it comes to shopping?! x

      Don't shoot the messenger!! They are so cheap aren't they?! The ASOS and New Look ones are amazing value. The black New Look one I am wearing today was something silly like £15 in the sale - it's perfect

    I love love skirts, you look gorgeous in them, your floral one looks stunning on. Unfortunately, I am a 'block' and as much as I try I cannot make them work pah...just bought a zara white and black pleated one, it's gorge but going back as I look humongous in it! Still I am not deterred and your selection is fab so I shall try that stunning floral RI one xxx

      You have the same issue I have with pencil skirts. I love them but I just looked so weird in them!

    I have just 2 skirts! A black jersey maxi and a pleather black pencil skirt......do wear the maxi in the Summer but have had the pencil skirt 6 months and have never worn it so I've learnt my lesson....I just don't do skirts very well :0( Love seeing them on others though! You look fab in both yours....I love them with the tights and ankle boots xx

    I only own about 3 skirts & made a promise to myself to buy more in the NY! I've failed! If I get a job pronto then I will definitely try harder! I love the floral RI one! You look ace in skirts! Ax

    I used to wear skirts a lot and I have quite a few in my wardrobe but I always find they need so much thought to work out what to wear on the top half. You look fab in these, Fiona! I must try harder. Lynne x
