Mixing Patterns

On Facebook last night Avril asked me if I'd ever worn stripes and flowers together but it couldn't be a selfie photo as evidence (epic fail then, all my photos are selfies). I have worn in the past this pattern mash up and so I was inspired to put it together again for today.

I randomly cut my fringe this morning as it was too long. I hate it! The husband hates it too! So I have it as it was, ruffled down and my usual clipped up messy 'do'. What do you think? WEIRD right?!

Skirt is from Whistle & Wolf - £50

Top is H&M but I have similar in my shop with cute coloured cuffs
Shoe Boots - Clarks (ancient)
Necklace- the shop

Leading me nicely on to shoe boots/Shoots whatever you like to call them. I absolutely love them. They're more casual that a court shoe and not as 'heavy' as an ankle boot.

Here are my top 3 finds for shoe boots on the market today:

Marks and Spencer Shoe Boot - £19 (currently in the sale)

Marks and Spencer Suede Shoe Boot - £35 (currently in the sale)

Aldo via House of Fraser - £75

So go on then, what about the hair? Up or down? To fringe or not to fringe?

Fiona

  2. Stripes and floral go so well together, I'm after a floral blazer for spring, to wear with all my striped dresses, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!
I love your hair down with the fringe, the slight curl is gorgeous!

    1. Brave and stupid!! I shall try and embrace the curls more tomorrow - it's just that when I dry it it's more frizz than curl!

I just got some scissors from the kitchen (!!!), held my fringe in a ponytail kind of bunch down from my forehead and CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Fiona you look lovely in all the pics but my favourite is with your hair down and curly - and I'm with you in the fringe cutting and I never have to admit it to the hairdresser because they know straight away - something to do with the wonky line but I say it's my attempt at feathering it!
    Love the pattern mix too.

  9. Hi Fiona, I tried on the M & S boots today as I saw they were in the sale. Didn't find them as comfy as some of the ones I already have from there though.
