The Hush Sale

I adore Hush but my wallet does not. I know the clothes are amazing, they're not only very well made and are set to last a long time but they offer wardrobe staples and on trend items.

I've written about them before and I lust after them all the time. It's time to put my spending ban to good test as I pick out the very good sale items I really would like. Apart from the items I have chosen here (and a couple more online), there really is no sense of AMAZING SALE, more of a 'that's a good discount. I also wanted the star jumper and harem pants to be on sale, sadly not.

Butterfly Dress

Knitted Henley

New Venus Dress

Michelle Top

Textured Tube Skirt

Do you love Hush? Why is it that some retailers believe a small discount constitutes a sale? Are we becoming too greedy?

  1. Isn't that interesting? I clicked on the Hush sale this morning and thought 'meh! that's not much of a discount' ... are we becoming greedier? Perhaps! But then, other stores have given much greater discounts in their sales. I didn't buy anything, as living in Ireland I'm reluctant to fork out for delivery and return charges when I haven't seen the clothes in real life.

    1. I struggled to find things to highlight and I only posted this because I started writing the text last night, I finished this morning and then edited it before walking out the door. I THEN added in some photos. Had I not written the text I'd have deleted the whole thing because it's a crap sale!

Coast and Mango know what a sale is all about - MINIMUM 50% off and end of sale stuff 75% off

  2. I received the flyer about it a couple of days ago and I must admit that I wasn't too impressed with the reductions and I didn't want anything enough so I abstained. I have bought a few things from there before and they are lovely. I'll wait until I'm in love with items from there before buying. Lynne xx

    1. Exactly. Perhaps we should be thanking them?!

  4. I was holding out for the hareems and star jumpers too Fiona & the other discounts weren't that great. I'm going to hold out & see if they do further reductions/add more lines. Sian x

    1. I'm not waiting - they had a chance to get my money and now not!

  5. I don't think companies should be able to use the word sale unless it reduces by 50%, like Mango. Just a thought...

  6. I totally agree with you. Great idea too re restrictions on the use of the word sale. Also disappointed by the Hush 'sale' as all the things I wanted were either not reduced or had 15% off. Now Toast....has had over £200 from me - a proper sale!

    1. I agree that all I wanted was NOT in the sale - disappointing. Maybe end of summer they'll have the things in?

Toast .. interesting, I've never shopped there. Off to skip there!

  8. For me the sale was pretty much what I was expecting - so I did pick up a few bits and pieces. The quality is lovely but out of 5 items, 3 are going back....will keep my money for the AW range which sounds amazing! x
