Stripy Maxi Skirt

Inspired by someone who posted a look from Pinterest on Avenue 57 outfit sharing group on Facebook yesterday, I thought I'd do a blatant style steal ...

The Pinterest professional image

My home made version:
Maxi skirt - Matalan (old)
Vest top - Next £6.50
Denim Shirt - H&M (old)
Trainers - Kurt Geiger (old)
Necklace - Avenue 57 Popup Shop

But I felt very self conscious of my lack of a waist so I quickly changed!
Cardigan - H&M (old)
Necklace - my shop (old)

Where to buy a stripy maxi on the high street and/or online today?

New Look - £14.99 (love the hemline)

Phase Eight (via House of Fraser) £69 (love this, very dramatic)

Jane Norma via House of Fraser £25 (my experience of JN is small so size up if in doubt)

Warehouse £42 (not sure if this is classed as a long midi or a maxi!)

Forever 21 £22 (LOVE the pleats)

Tesco £12 - BARGAIN ALERT

George at Asda £10 - EVEN BIGGER BARGAIN ALERT

Fashion World £25 (who? Apparently part of JD Williams)

Boohoo £10 - I can't believe this is so low in price - love love love it!

Fan of the stripy maxi skirt? I think I need a straight tube one now!

  1. I love your first outfit with the shirt - it goes really well! I feel too short to carry off a maxi so I avoid them but think they look fab on others - your's looks great x

  3. This is probably the only skirt I can pull off although never tried a stripe. You should wear yours more often, looks great. Love the Phase Eight one x

  6. Oh that looks fab on you! Definitely a look you should wear more often. I don't think it's a look that would really work on me - I'm just a bit too short for a stripey maxi skirt!
