Wanted: Fringe Boots

I was short of time on Saturday so literally walked past these, stopped, turned back, stared at them and cursed my lack of time for trying them on.

I'm surprised they're as expensive at this - it's Next we're talking about. They're usually very good at keeping prices lower but I'm surprised by the £68 price tag for a pair of fashion ankle boots (fashion meaning they're trendy now but who's to say they will still be next year?).

Ginger Suede Fringe Boots - £68

Other places to buy tan fringe boots?

Saw these Ash Jalouse look a likey's too - £52

Fan of the fringe?

  1. I love the new look ones, but are buckles AND fringing a step too far?

  2. The New Look ones are fab. I need new black ankle boots this year, well I don't actually need but I do want. Love the fringe boots but a black pair will last me years and I don't think fringe will stay the course. Mind you, there's always the option snipping them off????

    1. For every tan version here there was a black option! You can't cut the tassels off!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I love a bit of fringing on boots but wouldn't spend a lot as they'll probably only be a one season style (until they come around again in 10 years time!) x

  4. Oh I love fringing and think you can wear it year after year - it's never NOT in style is it? Just more so this year! I have the Zara military looking ones and love them but they are quite high!

  5. The Matalan ones are a great nod to the fringing trend without costing the earth....especially if they only end up being a one season wonder! xx

    1. Agreed! My only concern is the quality of the ankle bit - I shall order and see!

  6. Not a fan at all but surprised new look are only £8.01 cheaper! I like the NL ones without fringe on *clearly missing the point* ;-)

  7. Love the fringe boots but agree about not spending too much on them. I'd love a black pair

  8. I like them. I won't be buying any because I have more boots than puss and I fear the Husband would divorce me. x

  9. I have my eye on a pair from Aldo. They're £100, which puts your Next pair into a much cheaper perspective. See how I just made them justifiable for you? You're welcome ;-) xx
