So behind the times - Harem Pants

I know harem pants have been around for a long time and I have avoided them like the plague because they are 'not me' but I'm starting to wonder what is 'me' these days. There are days I don't want to wear jeans, I don't want to wear leggings and a dress some days just doesn't cut it for comfort. I want a pair of trousers/pants I can just sling on and somehow make them look like I'm not wearing my pyjama's.

Joanna from Poppy's Style looks GREAT in hers. I know hers is a jump suit and I will be blogging about those next week.

As always, Pinterest is GREAT for inspiration. The women below look amazing and I am truly inspired to dip my toe into this super casual comfortable item of clothing.

River Island - £30

Hush - £45

ASOS - £16

New Look - £14.99

Next - £20

Marks & Spencer - £18

I think the Hush ones are my favourite but not at £45. Will go and try on some more reasonably priced ones in Next.

Here I am today -

Have a goo weekend and hope you have some exciting plans. We're off out tomorrow night for a grown up night out and sleepover - whoop!

  2. I have 2 pairs but they haven't had much use. For me my legs are a tad too short but you will be fine in them as long as you keep the top slouchy too. Perhaps a denim jacket and, dare I say, some skaters or chunky footwear ( that may not work, if not I did wear normal sandals with mine.) I am looking forward to seeing you model them for us. XX

No you may not say skater shoes!!!!
I've some jewelled flip flops that would work I think

  3. I am a bit scared to try them...... I think I would look like I have a full nappy instead them. I will leave it to the tall slim girls....... I think the hush ones are gorgeous and if I was 5 inches taller I would try them xx

  4. I have to say I'm not sure about them, I like the look on models but I'm not sure they would look right on me. I think because you are tall & slim they could work on you, definitely worth a go! The Next ones look the most flattering & aren't too MC Hammer!! x

  5. I would plump for the Next ones.....they are v.similar in style to some M&S ones I have, not too baggy!! They are so comfy....bet you will love them! They do look great with flat sandals too! xx

  6. I just cant quite 'get' Harem pants - they make me think of a girlfriend who wore some net fabric 'new romantic' style harem pants to a night club in the 80's. They looked quite shocking at the time, and I think it has mentally scarred me haha. So I need positive reinforcement, go on, get some, rock the look and knock us out!

    1. Yes you are right in terms of the crotch (love that word) - if it's too low then that is where I feel all soggy nappy in them.
      Off to check out Next
