A trip to H&M

I popped into town with the family to pick up some rugby boots for my youngest but they got side tracked and so did I .. in H&M. I rarely go shopping these days due mainly to lack of money but also time. I prefer to do my shopping online but after yesterday I am going to have to make some money and time because I missed it.

I knew H&M (as all retailers do) would have dregs left, it's weeks since the sales started but I also knew that a few little bargains would catch my eye. And catch they did.

I took in 8 items, a mix of dresses, jeans and a jumper. All in the sale and all super cheap.

FORGIVE THE JEANS ROUND ANKLE SHOTS - I really could not be bothered with getting totally undressed!

First up a cheescloth material bright red dress. Looked ace on the hanger but not so on me. Does nothing at all for me - nothing! DID NOT BUY.

Next up, and with polka dots being on trend this Spring/Summer I thought this dress would be great but the under dress (top polka dot is a chiffon layer) stuck to me (static) and I hated it! DID NOT BUY.

Can you see the cling?

I had high hopes for this jumper but it was cut in a funny way.Kind of looks ok from the photos but it didn't sit or feel right on. DID NOT BUY.

I loved the colour of this dress, it's very heavy and smacks of quality. I couldn't find a 10 so risked the 12 which I hate to say fit like a glove. I DID BUY THIS! £15
Can't wait to wear with trainers or leopard print shoes. A fab dress for work or play.

I try some leather leggings and khaki cords, no photos because I couldn't get them on over my thighs. H&M sizing is random for me. I can go from S to a size 14 in a heartbeat.

Finally a cream dress that I adored. It fit beautifully and whilst I have no reason/occasion to wear it I couldn't let it go for £10. I BOUGHT THIS. Will need some help with how to style/wear otherwise it's £10 wasted.

What do you think? Did I make the right choices? Have you grabbed yourself an H&M bargain?

Fiona

  5. Blue dress is a great find. I got a H&M gift card for Christmas so going to give it a few weeks for all the new stuff to arrive before heading in.

  7. Definitely made the right choices! I think I have the blue dress in a cream/flesh colour, I love it and the cut, looks much more expensive than H&M! x

  8. Glad I'm not the only one who does the jeans round the ankle thing! Do you also walk round on tiptoes to see what you'd look like in heels, or is that just me? :-)

The blue is a great colour on you. What a bargain!
