Here's my look from last June - what do you think? I should have kept them and changed the top half which is wrong I know.
I returned them and have kicked myself ever since. So I am over the moon that this floral trend is continuing this Spring. I headed to Matalan which is where I always go for on trend items you want to try but don't want to break the bank.
My two BBFs (blogger best friends) have already blogged about their floral jeans ( I know, I'm so behind the times) - Avril from School Gate Style and Joanna from Poppy's Style - I LOVE the muted colours of Avrils and Joanna looks heavenly in her tropical colours.
I bought these yesterday and I love them - they're ONLY £10 at the moment. They're in between light denim jeans and trousers, they're hard to describe but they are comfortable.

Here I am in them today - they are ridiculously easy to wear and I've already had 2 compliments on them this morning - ooh I love a good compliment!
Having had a good look around t'interweb I've found these gems, I'm sure I'll be buying some more as they can be dressed up with heels or down with sandals.
I love the colour of these and knowing Zara the quality will be good. These are trousers as opposed to jeans but that just makes them even nicer I reckon! £39.99

Again, Zara, £35.99
Mango - £34.99 - I love these - total statement trousers if ever you did see a pair.
Mango Floral Jeans - £39.99
I love these - so fresh and so versatile
As with Matalan, if I want to try a trend without spending too much I head on over to Tesco Clothing - these are just £16
Dorothy Perkins - £25 (£17.50 if you buy today as they have 30% off EVERYTHING online)

I love the ones you are wearing, and I think for £10 they are worth a punt, not sure if I would be brave enough for floral bottoms...but for £10 I might be tempted to try.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure either because wherever I look the brands are teaming with matching floral top and I ca't do the whole floral head to toe thing. But one statement half is ok - I cannot wait to try them with flats and a vest top when the weather warms up.
DeleteI love the £10 ones! I am almost there on the floral ones - they look so lovely on everyone else . I'm just not brave enough myself ...yet!
ReplyDeleteI bet if you bought some and wore like I have with a VERY plain simple top half you could make them work. The other thing is just smile - I did feel a LITTLE out of my comfort zone in them but now I've worn them and had compliments I feel ok!
DeleteOh I LOVE yours!! I can't wait to get back in Matalan!! The Mango ones are crying out to me - must have them though I have plenty of statement trousers already:)
ReplyDelete£10 is an amazing price hey?! I love the yellow Zara ones and the Mango ones - I am seriously thinking of buying them to see if they're as good as my bargain ones - not sure I'm brave enough for such a pop of colour?
DeleteGreat post and thanks for the mention! Loving yours - they are just fabulous and you're going to wear them so much this summer! x
ReplyDeleteI know - I'll be sick of them come September!!
DeleteYour new ones are so much better. Love this look, don't like last summers although I do like Cornflower blue and yellow together normally xx
ReplyDeleteI think it's because the first ones are leggings and I just don't feel right in leggings - I feel very exposed where as the jeans/chino's are more structured and I have a heel and tight top on ..
DeleteLove, love, love these jeans on you!
ReplyDeletethank you!!
DeleteI'm struggling to find any mention of today's discount at Dorothy Perkins - am I being thick? Can't see anything on the website, nor find a code?
ReplyDeleteSooo tempted by lots of these, particularly the bargain pairs!
oh it must have ended :-(
DeleteI'm back to have a look at the trousers - they are such a good fit, and a total bargain!
ReplyDeleteBUY BUY BUY they are seriously good!
DeleteI'm not fully convinced on the floral jeans or trousers, but have to say that I LOVE the pair that you're wearing. In fact if there was a Matalan in Dublin, I'd be on my way there to try them out!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame you don't have one - they should open a store!!!!!
DeleteLove the Matalan ones, did you buy your normal size in them or did you have to size up or down? I'm fed up of wearing my skinnies and boots and think these would fit the bill without being too outrageous, as I'm the wrong side of 45. X
ReplyDeleteI'm in between sizes right now so I reckon they are true to size.
DeleteThese will suit any age - go on buy them!!
Bought!! Just need to pluck up the courage to wear them, I love them but they are way out of my comfort zone. I had to try on about 6 pairs as they varied so much in size. X
DeleteYAY!!! Can't wait to see them!
DeleteI hate it when shops do that because if you hadn't persevered you'd have left without them after the first trying on
Hi there! Your pair looks amazing and so stylish, I like them the best of all out of all the picks! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon - I can't wait to wear them again!
DeleteLove the paisley not sure about the floral, bring back hideous memories of my giant teenage years and mum buying me some versace print style shiny leggings (floral with lots of gold) Wore to a party and yes people did laugh.
ReplyDeleteLOL those trousers sound AWFUL!!! I think subtle paisley or flowers is the way forward for 2013!!
DeleteYou look so fab in these trousers Fiona! What a bargain too! Andrea x
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrea!
DeleteI'm not sure I dare ... but the Matalan ones look good. Or rather - you make them look good!
ReplyDeleteFor £10 I double dare you
DeleteI have been loving my floral denim. In fact I might have worn them out this sprinter (ie spring but still feels like winter ;) )
ReplyDeleteThey are alot easier to wear than I thought they would be but I tend to go for ones with a darker background as they are more flattering for my body type.
LOL I love that term - Sprinter - superb!
DeleteI would love to 'see' you in them - fancy posting your look on avenue57.com
I agree that you can't dismiss them until you try them!
